In depth
Verdict
The Wee Midget has been getting closer but has gone up in the weights again since his latest second over a shorter trip here. CASPIAN PIPER was only third over this course and distance on Boxing Day last year but has won twice since and was third at Ffos Las off this mark on his latest start in June. He's versatile as to going and there is no reason why he should go close again. Veteran Orfeo Conti is a regular here and stays well while Rusty Nail has each-way claims but the others make little appeal.
