Verdict

There is no obvious angle into this contest which is sure to turn into an out-and-out slog. CURRENT CLIMATE was well beaten on similar ground last time but previously stayed on really strongly in the closing stages here when second to Bring It On Home. He's been dropped a couple of pounds for that modest latest effort but is worth another chance off what looks a feasible mark. Oncle Kid was well behind the selection in the aforementioned contest at this venue but previously scored here in doughty fashion and shaped well last time when a more than respectable second to Good Order at Wincanton. His overall form profile affords him sound claims. Rateable Value has form to his name here over this trip and ground and will be involved if at his best, although he cannot be said to be the most reliable of performers on recent evidence.
