In depth
Verdict
Random Quest was good value for his win in a selling hurdle at Newton Abbot earlier this month and is taken to follow up here at the main expense of stablemate Whaleef and Allaboveboard. The last mentioned takes a drop in class and has to be respected given his connections but Peter Bowen's gelding has given cause for optimism of late. Sound Skin looks to be going the right way now for Alf Ellis and makes more appeal than Outside Investor, who has struggled in handicaps of late. Private Benjamin is hard to recommend on recent evidence and of more interest may be Whaleef, who is well treated judged by official BHB ratings. His stablemate Random Quest came back to form in good style at Newton Abbot though and this looks no tougher.
