In depth
Verdict
Take It There looks high enough in the weights now so the nod goes to SESAME RAMBLER who has a good record at the track and is preferred to Royal Kicks. The selection returns from 294 days off the track but he has run well fresh in the past, including when winning here twelve months ago. Three of his six career wins (under rules) have come at this track and proven on a variety of ground conditions he looks likely to run well. Royal Kicks has a 7lb penalty for a Newton Abbot win nine days ago and on his previous form that leaves him looking a little vulnerable, so a bigger threat may be Maximix who won with a bit in hand at Plumpton last time and won't mind any further rain. Take It There is a bit of a Market Rasen specialist but he has paid with the handicapper for a good season, Quarrymount is a course winner and should show up well from near the pace, whilst One Cornetto completes the field but cannot be fancied after three lifeless runs since a January win at Lingfield. Competitive stuff, but the nod goes to Sesame Rambler.
