In depth

Verdict

DAZZLING SUSIE is aptly named and could turn out to be a star at this game judging by her two incredible performances over fences. She won the first of them at Clonmel by 21 lengths and had today's rival Glibin 24 lengths behind when again making all at Kilbeggan. She's facing much sterner opposition this time but hopefully will have burnt them all off a long way from home. Laganbank has also had just two runs over the bigger obstacles, finishing runner-up to Baily Green at Roscommon before returning there and beating Cairdin, who runs in the opener. He's progressing well and is the obvious danger if the selection fluffs her lines. Pires put a couple of poor efforts over fences behind him to beat Rayhani at Cork and has since run well over hurdles while Great Oak and Eightybarackstreet arrive in winning form though all will need to raise their game again.
