Verdict

Jim Bolger doesn't have many bumper horses and he can come away with a rare victory in the sphere with SUKIYAKI, who ran very well behind Wicklow Brave here on Monday. Film Director was fancied to make a winning debut at Ballinrobe last month but found Broadway Symphony too strong. He will have come on for the run and looks a threat along with the experienced Top Othe Ra, who was just in front of the selection last time. Close One started favourite at Sligo and though Some Officer proved too strong it was still a good effort and progress looks a certainty. Dermot Weld has been winning bumpers all week so the newcomer Talween has to be greatly respected.
