Verdict

Castlehume won this a year ago when trained by Noel Meade but he's shown very little for new connections. ILIKEDWAYURTHINKIN (NAP) caught the eye in no uncertain terms over this trip at Fairyhouse in December before a poor run at Naas in March so didn't look an obvious choice for a handicap here on Wednesday. However, he was backed as if defeat was out of the question and obliged in the easiest of fashion. He'll be punished when the revised ratings come out so a 5lb penalty shouldn't prevent a quick double. Peacocks Secret had been running moderately before landing a Downpatrick handicap and has since been well beaten on the Flat but Dalton Highway has to be a major threat. He's shown potential in big fields over hurdles and scored on the Flat at the Curragh before an excellent run when second here on Monday. Charle Brune has landed his last two handicaps very easily but has gone up 15lb.
