Verdict
Three of the six previous renewals have gone the way of a Tom Dascombe runner and SERMON looks to have leading claims this time. Placed in soft going on his debut, he’s improved subsequently and has been gelded since beaten a neck over track and trip in June. It was fast ground when Dream Kart won easily at Windsor and he’s also gone close in a handicap but today’s draw has done Haydock runner-up Lexi The One no favours. Zulu Zander has a shout if handling the soft surface and looks best of the rest.
