Verdict

MAJOR JUMBO (NAP) has been competing at a high level so far this year having ended last season with a handicap success in soft ground at York. Beaten only a neck in last year’s renewal, Kevin Ryan’s charge can go one better this time. Vintage Brut has also won in soft going though has not been at his best of late while though Merhoob won over 5f here at the May meeting he has a high draw to contend with. Angel Alexander is another done no favours by the draw though he’s still preferred to stablemate Reflektor on these terms while Rock On Baileys and Miss Celestial would prefer faster going with the latter raised 9lb for an easy win at Bath.
