This has been run twice and Noel Meade has won both. The stable's Momus didn't show much in a point or on his hurdling debut in December but it was a different matter when well supported for a Roscommon bumper in May where he won as he liked. Winning bumper BAKMAJ made a very promising start over timber when a close third in a huge field at Punchestown then went one better when chasing home Quick Grabim at Listowel. The winner gave the form a massive boost when landing a Grade 3 at Tipperary on Sunday in impressive fashion so Alan Fleming's charge looks the one to be on. Willie Mullins has three entries and winning bumper Diamond Hill scored on the Flat here in August and started odds-on for her hurdling debut at Listowel. She was travelling like a winner when almost falling at the second last and will be supported to make amends. Sancta Simona won a Kilbeggan bumper in May but disappointed in a better race at Listowel. She makes her hurdling bow but Suinda, a Clonmel bumper winner, has only shown moderate form in three runs over timber. Steel Cap won a Kilbeggan bumper last month but was beaten a distance on his debut over timber on this track 10 days later.
