In depth

Verdict

There are three running in the J P McManus colours in this but Bruff should be the pick as both Down Under and Billtheblacksmith are returning from a break. Scavenger Lad could go well as he's already been placed three times over the larger obstacles while Ballygill Gale was only beaten half-a-length by Prince Of Leisure at Kilbeggan last month, though is 4lb higher now. BANGONFORM has been in good form over hurdles and almost certainly better over fences than he's shown so far. He was third over 3m1f at Fairyhouse in April and could be the one to beat if anywhere near that form here. Itsuptoyou and Island Peak could prove the pick of the remainder.
