In depth

Verdict

Mr Carson started favourite at Sligo in July but, for the second time, was beaten a long way and is best watched now. Bellewstown fourth La Pala D'Oro may be capable of improvement and Elljapa should also have more to offer but Pyrus Gold Wind has become disappointing. A Twist Of Fate didn't do a lot wrong at Down Royal 11 days ago, however, and will be fancied to go one better but it's interesting to see that Prunella Dobbs has booked Nina Carberry for the nicely-bred UNSHIN and the five-year-old can get off the mark at the first time of asking.
