Beckwith Star has won this for the past two years and is on exactly the same mark as a year ago when he was ridden by a claimer, as he is this time, so a hat-trick can't be ruled out. Tony Martin and Ruby Walsh are a formidable combination in these sort of races and Sarwistan landed a maiden at Downpatrick the last time he tackled hurdles. The trainer also saddles Lord De Beaufai, still a maiden but now slipping to a fair mark. The five-year-old Dixie Highway will find this tougher than the couple of minor handicaps he won in May while Shake The Bucket has done better since tackling longer trips. Coldstonesober has been running well over fences and is on a slightly lower mark over timber but Long Journey Home will need to improve again after his maiden success at Kilbeggan. There are numerous others with chances but the vote goes to the progressive STORMEY, a maiden winner at Sligo earlier this month before coming from a very long way back to get close to Sharlanda at Ballinrobe on Tuesday.
