Verdict

Joseph O'Brien won this last year and Eagle Spirit arrives in winning form having been brought with a late burst to score over 1m2f at Naas. He won't be inconvenienced by the longer trip while Slaney Street just seemed to falter over an extended 1m5f at Ballinrobe and looks certain to go well. Acclamatio was a 33/1 chance when stepping up to 1m3f at Killarney having shown little over shorter trips but there was no fluke about his easy victory, though an 11lb rise looks tough. HYPERDRIVE is up by the same amount after completing a double at Leopardstown but looks very progressive and Jessica Harrington's grey looks capable of completing a hat-trick. There are plenty of dangers in a wide-open handicap including the consistent Less Of That, a winner over 1m2f at Naas earlier in the month.
