Verdict

Willie Mullins has won five of the last nine of the Festival opener and MYSTICAL POWER, a son of Galileo out of the brilliant Annie Power, made an impressive debut in a Ballinrobe bumper in May and will have been earmarked for this. Gordon Elliott also has a very good recent record in the race and has three entries. Jack Kennedy is on board Samui and his mount looked very progressive at Tramore though the form pick of those who have hurdling experience has to be Hypotenus on his third in a Fairyhouse Grade 3 in February. He was turned over by Bojak when odds-on at Cork but the pair were a distance clear of Mercury Mission in third. Dark Note has won on the Flat since scoring at Sligo and looks certain to get competitive with his rider's claim a plus.
