Verdict

Booyea beat La Tulipe Noire, who runs in the previous race, at Ballinrobe a week ago so a big run from the latter will be a boost. The days when Dermot Weld dominated the Festival are long gone but Astar has probably been aimed at this and she has form on testing ground. She's closely matched with Pearl Of Australia on their 1-2 at Roscommon but handicap debutant VOICE OF REASON could be well in here. She showed real battling qualities to score at Killarney and there should be plenty more to come. Immutable was well beaten into second at Navan but Expelliarmus was well supported when beaten 18 lengths at the Curragh and didn't get the run of the race. Doctor Nightingale has shown ability in three maidens and was narrowly beaten over hurdles at Tipperary earlier in the month.
