        Redback Close fourth in Coventry (form working out well) but even better for step up to this trip in Listed contest latest (made all, eased in closing stages); carries 3lb penalty and a bit more exposed than his rivals but should give good account once again.

        Bragadino Confirmed tall home reputation when making winning debut at Sandown (runner-up has won since); will have improved for experience and definitely one for the shortlist.

        Highdown (IRE) Well beaten behind Redback over this trip latest and looks held on just 1lb better terms.

        Leo's Luckyman (USA) Highly regarded and made impressive winning debut (made all, came well clear) in Ayr maiden; stable going well (landed Richmond Stakes yesterday) and this fellow looks out of top drawer; can enhance his position at the head of ante-post lists for next year's Classics.

        Loweswater (USA) Showed benefit of debut when scoring comfortably at Doncaster latest; holds plenty of big-race entries and has scope for improvement to make him a leading contender here.

        Mr Sandancer Made winning debut over six furlongs at Newcastle; faces stiff test here and suspicion that he would prefer cut in the ground.

        Naheef (IRE) Made smooth winning debut against moderate opposition in Epsom maiden auction two weeks ago; stable's juveniles command plenty of respect and this well thought of colt should make his mark at this level.

        Rafferty (IRE) Gradually progressing but held by Laissezaller on Newbury form.

        Receivedwiththanx (IRE) Has improved for step up to this trip having followed maiden win with success in novice contest at Beverley; much more required at this level.

        Where Or When (IRE) The form of his Ascot novice victory has been boosted and this looks a useful type but may be out of his depth against these rivals.

        Laissezaller (USA) Made pleasing start (won Newbury maiden) and not disgraced in conditions event latest (missed break before staying on well); wouldn't need to improve much to figure.
