Verdict
FAZBEE is our idea of the winner though Wilbury Star and Fajita will give her plenty to think about. The booking of the in-form Eddie Ahern could make all the difference as the Irishman is displaying plenty of confidence in the saddle. Rated some 13lb lower than at this stage of the last season; the handicapper has at least offered a chance. Wilbury Star was third in a Lingfield handicap that is starting to work out well and he did not do a lot wrong off 1lb lower at Chester. Fajita makes a debut for George Baker having been claimed out of Gary Moore's stable. He can be given claims on a close up sixth to Kaolak at Newmarket. Layer Cake has often been fancied without quite delivering the goods on the artificial surfaces. Play It Sam was a tad disappointing at Kempton and he will need to do better off the same mark this afternoon. Fazbee is not without questions but she is in ideal hands to deliver the answers.
