Verdict
Ger Lyons is happy for BRENDAN BRACKAN to come here with a 3lb penalty after his very impressive victory at Galway on Tuesday. The assessor will hit him with much more than the 3lb extra he has to carry so he is taken to defy his big weight with the excellent Colin Keane's claim a major plus. Mark Johnston has won three of the last four of these and is triple-handed this time. Galician is likely to attract the most attention after victories in strong handicaps at Newbury and Ascot but Es Que Love, who was behind him last time, shouldn't be underestimated with Johnny Murtagh booked. Sirius Prospect had been plying his trade in pattern race company before landing a York handicap last week and a 3lb penalty shouldn't prevent another big effort and Set The Trend had also been competing at a high level before scoring at Haydock. Fire Ship had a bit of good fortune at Pontefract but is still a worthy contender here as the ground has come in his favour while Cape Peron and Wentworth both ran really well in the Britannia Handicap and are progressive types.
