In depth

Verdict

A tight handicap and Night Prospector is offered the tentative vote over Fizzlephut and Fast Heart. Gary Moore's charge does not win that often but at least the handicapper appears to be a little more lenient with him these days and as a pacesetter - there is every chance that we will get a good run for our money with the six-year-old. Any overnight rain would not go amiss for Fast Heart. He showed little at Kempton but there is a chance that he did not handle the track on that occasion. Graze On finished ahead of him. He has been a credit to connections. Fizzlephut ran a solid race at Ripon on his latest start. An experiment with cheekpieces has wisely been abandoned and a good account can be expected here. Peopleton Brook and Lindbergh have raced here before without success but the market is watched this afternoon. First Order was a useful handicapper when with Sir Mark Prescott but has shown little for current connections. A trappy affair and at the likely odds, Night Prospector makes most appeal.
