Verdict

TITUS MILLS has some fancy entries after springing a surprise on debut and there is good reason to believe that he can follow-up here en route. Brian Meehan's Dubawi colt carried condition into that debut run but was still good enough to lower the colours of the market leaders. In the process he showed a good attitude to prevail in a tight finish and also that he acts on a sound surface. With the trainer's runners usually improving for their initial outing we will side with him. The others are all exposed, but nonetheless both Big Issue and Surrey Star are going to be difficult enough to beat. The former made the frame in a Curragh Group 3 last time and after just three runs is still capable of improving. Back in Listed company he should be a major player. Surrey Star also went within a length of winning the Group 3 Solario Stakes at Sandown last month and goes on top-of-the-ground, so with a similar profile to Big Issue he too has strong claims, but both may be vulnerable to Titus Mills.
