    Verdict

Just the five runners and Manbar gets the confident nomination ahead of Snow Ballerina. Third on his recent debut in a hot little contest at Leicester the selection wasn't knocked around when defeat was inevitable. He steps up in trip today and with nominal improvement he can land this average maiden. Big things are expected (Derby entry) and he will need to win well here to keep that dream alive. I predict A Riot missed an engagement a few days ago in favour of this one but needs to improve for this step up in trip. Snow Ballerina is a well-bred filly who should have come on for her recent reappearance at Wolverhampton. Expect Improvement. Sowdrey has the most experience of these but hasn't progressed as one may have hoped, and Elusory completes the field and would need to step up on his two runs so far. Not the strongest maiden and there for the taking for Manbar.
