      Verdict

Murrumbidgee and Revolve are two against he field in this competitive finale and the vote goes to the first named. Assuming that he is turned out just three days after a fast-finishing second at Warwick, the selection can go on to record just his second victory in twenty-two starts. That stat hardly sets the pulse racing but his latest run was encouraging and now fully fit after two recent runs, he could go one better today. Revolve also finished a runner-up three days ago, this time at Kempton. He is consistent so must have place claims, but he is better on the all-weather and so, yet to win on turf, that trend looks as if it may continue. Magic Warrior is another consistent sort but is better on the artificial surface although his 11lb lower turf mark makes him more attractive. Logsdail has won off 84 before so, now over 20lb lower, he must be a player for his in-form stable. Postmaster looks high enough in the weights at present, and so we will return to Murimbidgee as the selection.
