In depth

Verdict

Just three older horses take on the three-year-olds. Of that trio, Mercian Hymn makes more appeal than Spring Glow but the younger generation should hold sway. Borntobealeader and Percy Jones were both beaten favourites last time but CHARLES ST has the stronger form and seems to improve with every run. Auntie Margaret may prove best of the rest as she went close on soft going last year at Pontefract.
