        Verdict

        MELODY OF LIFE can defy his penalty in this. William Carver claims 3lb again off the Leicester winner, who will handle the ground and has now proved he stays a mile. Ascending should find a race in this grade before much longer and Last Hoorah probably produced a career-best at Wolverhampton last time. Brighton winner Otago tries a new trip but Must Be Royale went close last time at Kempton and still has plenty of scope on Turf.
