Verdict
Pictavia is taken to get the better of the Mark Johnston pair, Crosspeace and Road To Love. Big handicap successes at Ascot and Goodwood appeared to mark out Road To Love as one to follow in higher grade but he has been a disappointing favourite in both starts since and may be a little out of his depth at this level. Crosspeace will be a danger to all. He has two wins at the track this season to his credit and was run out of it close home over a quarter of a mile further in a similar class race at Kempton last time. He is clearly in great heart and can go close providing last Saturday's hard race has not left its mark. Third in the Oaks last year, Pictavia has two successes to her credit in three starts this season. She made a belated winning seasonal re-appearance at Newcastle in June, and forged clear in a Listed contest over this trip at Salisbury last time. With the Godolphin camp going well and the ground drying out and likely to suit this Sinndar filly, Pictavia can prove too classy for her opponents.
