SOUL STATION held on by a neck to land victory at this track last time but looked to be slightly better value for that win than the margin suggests so we'll give him the chance to follow up at the expense of Treble Jig and Understory. That score was the pick's first start at this venue and just his second in handicap company. It was the latest in a progressive run of results and although things will be tougher under a revised weight he should go in again. Treble Jig was a little disappointing on his handicap bow but might have needed the run and with this step up in trip likely to be the right move he is respected. Understory receives weight from all of his rivals and should go better with a lb removed from his back after his last run. Blues Music has been progressive in maidens and should be in with a chance off this rating on his handicap debut but Soul Station is a proven winner and that might be enough.
