In depth
Verdict
Dual course and distance winner Persiano, will have his followers, after a solid run at Newmarket on his seasonal debut. He has a good draw here and is sure to make his presence felt. Wood Dalling, whose stable is in better form now, will be better suited by a return to this trip, after failing to stay last time. Laggan Minstrel, looks to have it all to do to reverse the form with Finished Article, who finished three lengths in front of him at Sandown and is only two pounds better off. The latter, unlucky in running that day, must take all the beating here, granted a clear run. Without a win for nearly two years, Muchea may be the one to chase him home. A capable, if somewhat quirky character, certainly has the ability if he wants to use it and he has been given a chance by the Handicapper.
