    Verdict

    Although he has a few pounds to find on official ratings here, Eastern Anthem may be able to improve enough to take this Listed contest, with Halicarnassus and Broghill looking the two dangers. The selection runs for the boys in blue here and with four of their last six starters having won and the other two having come second, at the time this race was assessed, it is a fair bet that Eastern Anthem will be primed and ready to run well. The Singspiel colt will enjoy this sort of trip and has the benefit of a run under his belt, so he is taken to score. Halicarnassus is officially best off at these weights, but has never raced at beyond a mile and was hammered in the Guineas at that trip last time. His pedigree suggests that this will be beyond his reserves of stamina so he is opposed. Broghill has two-and-a-half lengths to find with the selection on their recent running behind Salford Mill and it is hard to see him bridging the gap, while Man Of Vision steps up from handicap company. He stays well enough, but may not have the pace to go with them here and preference is for Eastern Anthem.
