Stamford Blue gets the call over Digital, with Binnion Bay, Imperium and Gracie's Gift all expected to make their presence felt. Stamford Blue produced a fine turn of foot to return to winning ways in an apprentice affair over seven furlongs here last week, and a look at the weights reveals that he has an outstanding chance of following up today. In fact he can now meet the third, Digital, on 8lb better terms despite finishing in front of that rival. Digital surprised his legion of supporters when attempting to make all last week, as he is normally held up. Mick Channon's old stager bowled along happily until headed, and if the same tactics are employed by Michelle Saunders, the pair may well be in the shake-up again, without being good enough. Binnion Bay had been in terrific form on the all-weather before scoring back on turf under a strong ride from Lorraine Ellison at Lingfield 12-days ago. He looks set to play a part along with Imperium who will not mind the drop back to six furlongs at all. Gracie's Gift was touched off by a neck in a similar race to this over the course-and-distance 18-days ago, and the slightly easier ground will help, so he is yet another in with a shout, but the selection is Stamford Blue.
