Verdict
Half of this field have already won over track and trip, which is a major plus here. Nyaleti has to give 3lb to her younger rivals and has been racing over further so Franny Norton will need to ensure there is a strong gallop. Duke Of Hazzard has come into his own lately and Rossa Ryan will be keen to make the most of her chance in a race of this magnitude. Beat Le Bon won the Golden Mile here at the start of the month to complete the hat-trick and there may yet be more to come but preference is for SKARDU. Successful in the Craven Stakes on his reappearance, the latter was then third in the Qipco 2000 Guineas before solid efforts in the Irish equivalent and the St James Palace Stakes – this is a slight drop in class. Happy Power has also been highly tried since winning a Listed event at York in June but Turgenev’s form appears to fall just short of the standard required.
