      Verdict

Plenty of unexposed types here and Eldritch will have his work cut out to remain unbeaten with a 9lb rise to contend with after his Doncaster victory. Maghfoor had been threatening to win before landing a maiden over an extended 1m3f at Haydock and won't be inconvenienced by the drop in trip and though Native Prospect has only won at Southwell he ran well enough in similar company at Epsom last time to put him in the frame. Thirsk maiden winner SECRET ADVISOR (NAP) was out with the washing for much of the race before staying on strongly to get within a length of the eased-down Crowned Eagle at Windsor last week. The winner is still in the Derby so Charlie Appleby's colt looks the one to be on here, especially as his rider reported interference at Windsor. War Chief hails from a yard in outstanding form and was closing all the way to the line over a mile at Chepstow.
