Verdict
All have displayed useful form at a level worthy of a place at Group 2 Level. The likes of Al Karrar and Marshman are hardest to assess as both arrive on the back of impressive maiden successes, suggesting they are held in some regard. Crispy Cat was one of the prime sufferers in the controversial Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot but failed to fire on his only start over this trip. Royal Scotsman has to be on any shortlist after his excellent third in the Coventry Stales at the Royal meeting and that form probably sets the standard, but CHATEAU (NAP) really impressed with the manner of his win at Newbury in the Rose Bowl Stakes when upped to a sixth furlong for the first time and is taken to follow up that classy success.
