Verdict
Charlie Appleby has three entries and William Buick has chosen REBEL'S ROMANCE, who returned from a poor spell in Dubai to easily land a Newmarket Listed race last month. He'd won the UAE Derby at Meydan last year and now looks back to his best. Desert Encounter won this back in 2019 before completing a four-timer in the Group 1 Canadian International. Second in this the following year, he could outrun his odds but it's almost two years since Regal Reality won and he's had plenty of chances at this sort of level. Fancy Man didn't enjoy soft ground at Haydock and is better judged on his earlier efforts on the all-weather.
