Verdict

Dermot Weld has won this for the last two years and can continue the sequence with AFTERNOON SUNLIGHT. A Group 3 winner last season, she found heavy going and the 100/1 chance Ramone too strong on her reappearance at the Curragh in March but back on a more suitable surface she looks one for the late season fillies' races. Easter was sent over 1m4f at Cork last time so it's a surprise to see her dropping so far back in trip. Her overall form gives her a chance against the older filly though she finished behind Stellar Glow as a juvenile and Jim Bolger's filly is another taking a big drop in distance having run in the Irish Oaks last time. Laviniad continues her progress and stepped out of handicaps to beat the useful Tested in a Listed contest at Galway but My Titania finished last of four on her reappearance at Leopardstown in June after almost a year off.
