Verdict

SATIN AND SILK cost 900,000gns and though the half-sister to USA Grade 1 winner Materiality has so far failed to live up to her pedigree there were signs of better to come when staying on over a mile at the Curragh and she can start paying her way. Menagerie was a 33/1 chance at Leopardstown last month but belied her odds with an eye-catching run while Fictitious Lady was unlucky in-running when just touched off at Down Royal and looks a major threat. The superbly-bred Oh So True has been a bit disappointing since tackling 1m4f and a return to this trip could prove beneficial while St Clerans made the useful Red Line Alexander pull out the stops at Ballinrobe with the remainder well beaten.
