Verdict

Like It A Lot gained his first success on his 10th start at Thurles where he defied several mistakes. That was only his third run over the bigger obstacles so he looks certain to get involved here. It wasn't much of a race that Character Actor won at Limerick but at least he comes here in good form while De Benno's close second to Mr Shankly at Fairyhouse looked a good run, though the winner was beaten on Thursday. Archie Meade ran into a live one when runner-up to Mydor at Leopardstown though that was over hurdles and his chasing career has been littered with jumping problems. SONNY B (NAP) showed no inclination to jump fences on his first two starts but came good at Limerick in December with an impressive victory. The assessor hasn't done him any favours for his handicap debut but there should be more to come and he can complete a double.
