BERCASA (NAP) has yet to win but went close at Cork last time and has decent form on heavy ground so looks set to get off the mark. Fiannaiocht is also a maiden and has been disappointing but she's on a very lowly mark which is a bonus in these conditions. She was just over a length behind Nailed On Nina at Tipperary but the winner didn't go so well on heavy going at Listowel last time. Case Stated makes his handicap debut having won a Limerick claimer on fast going in the summer while Art Of America has shown glimpse of ability though not on ground as testing as this. Escallonia started favourite on her handicap debut at Cork last week on the back of promising runs in maidens but didn't last out the extended mile. Too Precious has shown enough ability to suggest she's one to note at the bottom of the weights but top weight Fearaun was engaged in the 5.00 at Navan yesterday.
