Spin Point cost 210,000 euros and is a half-brother to Dewhurst winner Intense Focus among others. He made a fair start over 1m4f at Galway but takes a hefty drop in trip here. Unyielding just failed to hold off Plot Twist on soft ground at the Curragh and, as that was over slightly further, this trip looks ideal. Van Schaick was around four lengths behind in that latter race and has since disappointed at Navan so the vote goes to AVENANTE. John Oxx' filly wasn't far behind the very useful Devonshire at the Curragh last October and though unraced since later in the month has the scope and pedigree to go on to better things.
