The four-year-old Peculiar Genius attracted some support for his handicap debut at Tramore on New Year's Day and didn't let backers down. There's more to come from Paul Nolan's charge and a 7lb rise shouldn't prevent another big effort though runner-up ARDERA CROSS was staying on strongly at the finish and has enough of a weight pull to reverse the places and take this. The latter had Adreamstillalive just behind when scoring at Tramore and is better off with the runner-up, who has since won on the same track. Backinthesaddle went up 4lb for his Down Royal victory and ran well in a better race at Naas so he can get involved while Tethra showed his run behind the latter at Down Royal to be all wrong when landing a Punchestown handicap on New Year's Eve.
