In depth

Verdict

It would be no surprise to see Bold Bobby Be and WEYBRIDGE LIGHT have this between them and the Irish raider gets the vote. Eoin Griffin does quite well with his trips over the water and his Fantastic Light gelding was a very comfortable winner over 1m 4f at Tramore last month. He has gone up 8lb for that but still carries a nice racing weight here and is drawn next to his chief rival. He acts on the Polytrack at Dundalk and looks likely to be suited by this longer trip so we will side with him. Bold Bobby Be looked all over the winner turning in at Southwell last time but his stamina didn't quite hold out over this trip for the first time. He may be helped in that regard by this slightly quicker surface and despite a 3lb rise for a defeat he must go close. Tender Falcon has plummeted through the weights and does stay, though the yard's current form is not inspirational. Dramatic Solo stayed pretty well on his only try at this trip on turf and he is only 4lb higher than his last win, so with Karl Burke's yard going well he could get heavily involved. There's not too much inspiration to be had elsewhere and we'll take Weybridge Light to score.
