In depth

Verdict

SENSIBLE is the sensible option in the opener with doubts surrounding most of the runners although official ratings have Anfield Road and Bite The Boss down as the two to beat. Anfield Road has the highest official rating having shown some ability in Ireland but he disappointed on his final two starts on the level for his previous connections and didn't show all that much in a fair race over hurdles for this yard last month. Bite The Boss was beaten a fair way at Southwell but it may be worth looking on that run more favourably as it was his first since October of last year. He had shown ability in three turf starts prior to that run and market support would be encouraging. Evette and Bring It Home have their work cut out at the weights but Sensible doesn't have quite so much to find. She ran well at this track on debut for this yard over ten furlongs where she shaped as though she may appreciate this longer trip. So with form and affinity for the track confirmed it's worth taking the chance that Sensible will see this out.
