Verdict

NOVERRE TO GO has plenty in his favour on these terms and should take the beating with his yard back amongst the winners. Moscow Eight and Newlyn Art could be the two to give him most to do. Tom Dascombe's runner showed ability on debut and was consequently very well supported to go one better at Goodwood but he was a little keen and didn't really get home at a time when his yard was still finding winners hard to come by. He held a Group 1 entry at the time and is now going some way to fulfilling his promise with a comfortable victory in a Lingfield nursery. He did wander around in front which is a little disconcerting but he should prove too strong for this field. Newlyn Art is an interesting one because he won very, very easily on his nursery bow and could be progressing at a rate of knots. A 10lb rise in the weights still leaves him with 15lbs to find with the selection which is a measure of the task that he faces. Lesley's Choice may be best watched on debut for a new yard after a break which leaves Moscow Eight who moves up in trip having failed to get to the winner over the minimum here last time. He has ability but has pulled hard on each of his four outings and may not be seen to best effect until learning to settle which is why we prefer Noverre To Go.
