In depth

Verdict

The feature race of the afternoon looks wide open but we will give the tentative vote to Choreography with both Gallantry and Count Ceprano worth noting. The selection has been consistent all season winning three times. The last of those wins came last time out for which he is now five pounds higher in the weights as a result. This will not make life any easier for him but if he is able to recapture his best then he will not be far away come the end of the race. Gallantry caught the eye last time out when second to Rum Jungle at Newmarket earlier on in the month. He runs off a mark that he is more than capable of winning off so any market moves should be noted. Count Ceprano was raised eight pounds for winning at Goodwood and failed to follow up at Brighton thereafter when sent of favourite. That said he was not discredited on that performance and has to be given respect once more. But for the winner we return to Choreography.
