In depth

Verdict

In-form contenders Wreningham, Multahab and PRIDE OF NORTHCARE all make the short-list with the latter put forwards as the winner. Wreningham took a long time in opening his account but he did so in fine style over course and distance last month and may find the winning habit difficult to kick. His proven course form is an advantage but there appears to be no reason as to why Multahab won't reproduce his best here and he won well at Brighton last time. He's won from similar marks in the past and has a top jockey in the saddle. Pride Of Northcare has a career high mark to overcome following his win at Wolverhampton but he really seems to have come to himself lately and is fancied to do the business. He only shed his maiden tag three runs back but appeals as the type that has more to offer and Pride Of Northcare can do his connections proud.
