Verdict
Port d'Argent,Queen's Dancer and Woolly Back look the three to concentrate in this maiden and the confident vote is given to Port d'Argent. The selection was a fair fifth behind William Tell last time doing all his best work at the finish. This longer trip should play to his strengths and with conditions to suit he will be hard to beat. Queen's Dancer rates the main danger as she finished in mid-division behind Gibraltar Bay in a handicap and this looks easier so she should be noted in the market. Woolly Back is another that could go well but he needs to improve dramatically on his latest run in a claimer to trouble the judge here. Of the remainder Nobbler is from a shrewd yard and should be noted in the market but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Port d'Argent.
