In depth

Verdict

HONEST DEAL couldn't cope with Beaten Up when second over 1m2f at Ripon last time but he finished well clear of the rest and today's shorter trip can see him get off the mark. Sam Nombulist ended last season with his best effort so far when runner-up at Ayr and he should be winning this year, while Honest Buck may have done too much in front on his return to action at Newcastle as he faded quickly in the final furlong. The remainder have shown little so far so newcomer Rio Park won't have to be anything special to get in the mix.
