L'AMI LOUIS attracted significant market support on his reappearance at Newmarket but failed to pick up in the closing stages after travelling strongly behind the pace. Henry Candy's gelding will strip fitter here and can recoup losses with his high draw a distinct advantage. Miss Mediator tries an extra furlong after finishing in the frame in three starts over the minimum last year but a bigger danger may be Luca Cumani's newcomer Ippios, whose dam is a half-sister to several winners including the useful sprinter Crazee Mental. Allumeuse hinted at ability on his sole start on Polytrack and may be best of the rest.
