        Verdict

        LOTHAIR won one of these events at Carlisle last week. Relatively lightly-raced for his age, he's taken to defy a penalty with one of the more accomplished amateurs on board. George Fenton also won for an amateur rider at Thirsk last month and Foreign Rhythm scored under today's jockey over 6f at Ayr in July. Saxonette beat the selection in a seller over track and trip earlier in the season and has claims on that form.
