Verdict

In what should prove to be a competitive maiden MT KINTYRE is out selection and is expected to see off Dazzling Light and debutant Act Of Kalanisi. The selection has finished runner up at the last two attempts and has done enough to suggest that he is capable of winning races. He is tested over 11f for the first time today which should suit and is nine pounds clear of the rest of those with experience on official ratings. Act Of Kalanisi makes a belated racecourse debut for powerful connections and is bred to be a middle-distance horse. Any market confidence for him would be significant. Dazzling Light came within a nose of breaking his maiden here last time and sets the benchmark but has it to find with the selection if the handicapper has it right.
